The VLS Series is LED cornice coving with the broadest choice in our range: fifteen profile designs and pack sizes that run from a single 2 m length all the way to 50 metres for whole-floor projects. It is made in the UK by Decovision from XPS (extruded polystyrene) — a smooth, rigid, closed-cell foam that looks like plaster once painted but weighs around a tenth as much, so one person can fit it with adhesive alone.
Fifteen profiles, one hidden light line
From understated to ornate, VLS01 through VLS15 all share the same practical heart: a concealed channel that carries an LED strip behind the cornice line. Switched on, the ceiling glows with even, indirect light and the source stays invisible. LED strip is not included — pick the brightness and colour temperature that suit the room.
Why XPS beats plaster and bead foam
Plaster cornice is heavy, brittle and a two-person job; cheap bead-style polystyrene shows its bobbled texture through every coat of paint. XPS (extruded polystyrene) sits in neither camp: a fine, dense surface that paints cleanly, flexibility that absorbs building movement without cracking, and moisture resistance from its closed-cell structure that keeps it stable in kitchens and bathrooms.
Sizes and ordering
Fifteen designs: VLS01 to VLS15
2 m lengths, with packs at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 30, 40 and 50 metres
Ready-made internal and external corner pieces (20 cm)
Approx. 20 cm sample for checking the profile and testing paint — not for installation
Installation
Use solvent-free adhesive only and finish with water-based paint only — solvent-based products attack polystyrene. No screws, no drilling, no specialist tools beyond a fine-tooth saw. An average room takes two to four hours; the extended packs make hallways, landings and open-plan floors just as straightforward.
Room suggestions
Living rooms and bedrooms for the classic uplit cornice look; kitchens and bathrooms thanks to the moisture-resistant closed-cell material; hallways and landings where the long pack sizes come into their own.
Why Decovision
The widest LED cornice choice in the shop, genuine XPS (extruded polystyrene) quality, UK manufacturing, factory-made corners and packs sized for real projects. Order a VLS sample first — matching the profile to your ceiling costs pennies compared with getting it wrong.

The completeness check carried out before installation is essential for a trouble-free application. These are the same instructions included in print with every package.
1. Package opening and inspection
Open the package from both ends.
The products are numbered. The numbers do not indicate an installation sequence - they are only provided to help you verify the package contents.
Whatever quantity of lengths you purchased, check the numbers inside the package to confirm it is complete.
Protective pieces: the small foam pieces and fillers inside the package are not part of the product. They are for protection in transit only, are not used during installation and can be discarded.
2. Corner pieces inspection
If your order includes internal or external corners, they may be inside the same package - or, if they did not fit the length, they may have been sent as a separate parcel. Please check the main package and any additional package.
Important: if any product is missing or damaged, contact us before starting installation.
3. Corner installation options
Option 1: corners can be cut by the user at a 45-degree angle using a mitre box.
Option 2 (recommended): pre-made corners purchased from us consist of two pieces already cut at 45 degrees. Install the corners first, followed by the intermediate sections - this gives a faster and cleaner result.
4. Required materials
Solvent-free coving adhesive
Utility knife or fine-toothed saw
Acrylic sealant or joint filler
Caulking gun
Tape measure and pencil
5. Installation
The wall and ceiling surface must be clean and dry.
Apply the adhesive to the contact surfaces of the coving.
Press the product firmly into place.
Wipe away excess adhesive with a damp cloth.
6. Finishing and painting
Fill the joints with sealant.
Once dry, lightly sand if necessary.
Paint with two coats of water-based paint. Never use solvent-based paints or adhesives on polystyrene.
7. Usage information
Lightweight - can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Decorative trim: it does not bear loads, so never hang anything from it.
Support
If you have any questions before starting the installation, please contact us. We are pleased to help with any issues that may arise during installation.
Orders are packed with care and delivered across the UK. Full-length boards and coving travel as 2-metre parcels with our specialist carrier.
Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, we cover the return; for change-of-mind returns the postage is payable by the customer. Samples are for testing only and are non-returnable unless faulty. Your statutory rights are not affected.
One person fits it with adhesive alone - no drill, no plasterer, no load on old ceilings.
Crack-resistant
XPS (extruded polystyrene) flexes with your building instead of cracking along the ceiling line like plaster.
Ready-made corners
The hardest cuts arrive already done - internal and external corner sets are available for every profile.
