At DECOVISION, we manufacture extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam sheets in the United Kingdom and supply them direct — without the distributor markup you pay elsewhere. XPS is the dense, closed-cell form of polystyrene produced by forcing molten resin through an extrusion die. XPS (extruded polystyrene) is denser, smoother and more moisture-resistant than EPS (expanded polystyrene). EPS is the white, crumbly foam used in packaging. XPS has a uniform closed-cell structure that gives cleaner cuts and a better paint surface. Yes. Score with a sharp craft knife and snap along the line for a clean edge. For more complex shapes, use a hot wire foam cutter. A fine-tooth hand saw also works well for thicker sheets. PVA glue, double-sided tape and solvent-free foam adhesive all bond well.
