LED Cornice Coving for Ceilings, XPS Extruded Polystyrene Moulding GB Series

£1.95
The GB Series is LED coving for ceilings that lets you add a crisp cornice line and soft indirect lighting in a single piece. It is made from XPS (extruded polystyrene) — a dense, smooth, closed-cell foam that is far finer-finished than the bead-style polystyrene most people picture, yet so light you can hold a full two-metre length overhead with one hand. Manufactured by Decovision in the UK.
Built-in LED channel
Each GB profile carries a concealed channel behind the top edge for an LED strip. The strip sits out of sight and washes the ceiling with an even glow — indirect lighting that makes a room feel taller and calmer than a bare pendant ever will. LED strip is not included, so you are free to choose the colour temperature and brightness you prefer.
Light enough for one person to fit
A typical GB length weighs a fraction of its plaster equivalent. That means no second pair of hands, no specialist fixings and effectively zero load on the ceiling — a real advantage in older UK homes where plaster and joists have seen a century of service. Unlike plaster, XPS (extruded polystyrene) will not crack as the building moves, and unlike bead foam it takes paint smoothly with no orange-peel texture.
Models and sizes
Three profile designs: GB11, GB12 and GB13
Three sizes per design: A (70 x 140 mm), B (70 x 190 mm) and C (70 x 290 mm)
Supplied in 2 m lengths; packs from 2 m up to 30 m (16 lengths)
Ready-made internal and external corner pieces — no tricky mitre cuts
Sample piece (approx. 20 cm) for checking the profile, material and paint finish before you commit — not for installation
Installation
Fix with a solvent-free grab adhesive only — solvent-based products attack polystyrene. No screws or drilling are needed. Once fitted, finish with water-based paint (again, solvent-based paints must be avoided). An average room takes two to four hours from first length to finished corners.
Where it works
Living rooms and bedrooms are the classic homes for LED coving; the closed-cell structure of XPS (extruded polystyrene) also shrugs off moisture, so kitchens and bathrooms are no problem. Hallways and home offices benefit from the extra sense of height the uplight creates.
Why Decovision
Lightweight XPS (extruded polystyrene) quality rather than cheap bead foam, ready-made corners, UK manufacturing, and a low-cost sample service. Order a GB sample first, test it against your ceiling and your paint, then come back for the full room.

The completeness check carried out before installation is essential for a trouble-free application. These are the same instructions included in print with every package.
1. Package opening and inspection
Open the package from both ends.
The products are numbered. The numbers do not indicate an installation sequence - they are only provided to help you verify the package contents.
Whatever quantity of lengths you purchased, check the numbers inside the package to confirm it is complete.
Protective pieces: the small foam pieces and fillers inside the package are not part of the product. They are for protection in transit only, are not used during installation and can be discarded.
2. Corner pieces inspection
If your order includes internal or external corners, they may be inside the same package - or, if they did not fit the length, they may have been sent as a separate parcel. Please check the main package and any additional package.
Important: if any product is missing or damaged, contact us before starting installation.
3. Corner installation options
Option 1: corners can be cut by the user at a 45-degree angle using a mitre box.
Option 2 (recommended): pre-made corners purchased from us consist of two pieces already cut at 45 degrees. Install the corners first, followed by the intermediate sections - this gives a faster and cleaner result.
4. Required materials
Solvent-free coving adhesive
Utility knife or fine-toothed saw
Acrylic sealant or joint filler
Caulking gun
Tape measure and pencil
5. Installation
The wall and ceiling surface must be clean and dry.
Apply the adhesive to the contact surfaces of the coving.
Press the product firmly into place.
Wipe away excess adhesive with a damp cloth.
6. Finishing and painting
Fill the joints with sealant.
Once dry, lightly sand if necessary.
Paint with two coats of water-based paint. Never use solvent-based paints or adhesives on polystyrene.
7. Usage information
Lightweight - can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Decorative trim: it does not bear loads, so never hang anything from it.
Support
If you have any questions before starting the installation, please contact us. We are pleased to help with any issues that may arise during installation.
Orders are packed with care and delivered across the UK. Full-length boards and coving travel as 2-metre parcels with our specialist carrier.
Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, we cover the return; for change-of-mind returns the postage is payable by the customer. Samples are for testing only and are non-returnable unless faulty. Your statutory rights are not affected.
One person fits it with adhesive alone - no drill, no plasterer, no load on old ceilings.
Crack-resistant
XPS (extruded polystyrene) flexes with your building instead of cracking along the ceiling line like plaster.
Ready-made corners
The hardest cuts arrive already done - internal and external corner sets are available for every profile.
