LED Coving for Ceilings by Decovision, DV-U0 Series

LED cornice covingthat upgrades any room with warm, indirect lighting. Made from XPS (extruded polystyrene)— a dense, smooth, closed-cell foam that is far finer-finished than the bead-style polystyrene you may know, yet so light you can hold a full 2-metre length overhead with one hand.

Ultra Lightweight by Design

Each length weighs a fraction of traditional plaster coving. That means one person can fit an entire room without help, ladders stay safe, and there is virtually no load on ageing ceilings — ideal for older UK homes where heavy plaster mouldings crack as the building moves. XPS (extruded polystyrene) flexes with natural micro-movement instead of cracking.

Built-In LED Channel

The rear channel is shaped to hold standard LED strip lights (not included), casting a smooth, indirect glow across your ceiling. Perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and media walls — a designer lighting effect without an electrician rewiring your ceiling.

Sizes & Pack Options

DV-U0 Series models DV-U01 to DV-U05, each available in four profile sizes: A (80x40mm), B (100x150mm), C (120x60mm), D (150x76mm).

Each full length measures 2 metres. Packs from 2m up to 30m, plus ready-made internal and external corner pieces so you never need to cut a tricky mitre joint.

Sample pieces are approx. 20cm long and are intended for checking the profile, material and paint finish only — they are not suitable for installation.

Simple DIY Installation

No nails, screws, drills or specialist tools. Fix with a solvent-free adhesive only(solvent-based adhesives damage polystyrene) and paint with water-based emulsion only— the smooth XPS (extruded polystyrene) surface takes paint beautifully with no bead texture showing through. An average room takes one person around 2–4 hours.

Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, hallways and home offices. The closed-cell structure of XPS (extruded polystyrene) resists moisture, so it stays stable in kitchens and bathrooms where plaster deteriorates.
