With a generous 90 mm drop, the GC Series is the deep-profile option in Decovision's LED coving range — cornice moulding with real presence for rooms that can carry it. Like all our coving it is cut from XPS (extruded polystyrene): a rigid, closed-cell foam with a smooth face that paints beautifully, at around a tenth of the weight of plaster. Made in the UK by Decovision.
Indirect lighting, hidden hardware
The GC profile conceals an LED channel along its upper edge. Run a strip inside it and the ceiling above glows with soft, even light while the strip itself stays completely hidden. It is the simplest route to the "floating ceiling" look — no plasterboard box-work, no electrician-built pelmet. LED strip not included, so you can match the colour temperature to the room.
Why weight matters
A deep plaster cornice of this size is a two-person lift and a genuine load on old lath ceilings. The GC in XPS (extruded polystyrene) is light enough to position one-handed, puts effectively no weight on the structure, and flexes with seasonal building movement instead of cracking along the joint line.

Fitting notes
Use a solvent-free adhesive only and finish with water-based paint — solvent products damage polystyrene. No mechanical fixings are required. Most rooms are done in an afternoon: measure, cut with a fine saw, bond, fill the joints, paint.
Best rooms for a deep profile
High-ceilinged living rooms, dining rooms and master bedrooms take the GC naturally. Because XPS (extruded polystyrene) is closed-cell and moisture-resistant, it is equally at home above kitchen units or in a bathroom.
Why Decovision
Genuine XPS (extruded polystyrene) rather than soft bead foam, factory-made corners that save the hardest cuts, UK production, and an inexpensive sample so you can see the profile on your own ceiling line first. Start with a sample — the full packs will still be here tomorrow.
LED Coving for Ceilings by Decovision, HM Series
LED cornice covingthat upgrades any room with warm, indirect lighting. Made from XPS (extruded polystyrene)— a dense, smooth, closed-cell foam that is far finer-finished than the bead-style polystyrene you may know, yet so light you can hold a full 2-metre length overhead with one hand.
Ultra Lightweight by Design
Each length weighs a fraction of traditional plaster coving. That means one person can fit an entire room without help, ladders stay safe, and there is virtually no load on ageing ceilings — ideal for older UK homes where heavy plaster mouldings crack as the building moves. XPS (extruded polystyrene) flexes with natural micro-movement instead of cracking.
Built-In LED Channel
The rear channel is shaped to hold standard LED strip lights (not included), casting a smooth, indirect glow across your ceiling. Perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and media walls — a designer lighting effect without an electrician rewiring your ceiling.
Sizes & Pack Options
HM Series profiles: HM-01 (85x125mm), HM-02 (85x125mm), HM-03 (100x55mm), HM-04 (90x50mm), HM-05 (115x50mm), HM-06 (95x50mm), HM-07 (90x70mm), HM-08 (90x70mm).
Each full length measures 2 metres. Packs from 2m up to 30m, plus ready-made internal and external corner pieces so you never need to cut a tricky mitre joint.
Sample pieces are approx. 20cm long and are intended for checking the profile, material and paint finish only — they are not suitable for installation.
Simple DIY Installation
No nails, screws, drills or specialist tools. Fix with a solvent-free adhesive only(solvent-based adhesives damage polystyrene) and paint with water-based emulsion only— the smooth XPS (extruded polystyrene) surface takes paint beautifully with no bead texture showing through. An average room takes one person around 2–4 hours.
Where It Works
Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, hallways and home offices. The closed-cell structure of XPS (extruded polystyrene) resists moisture, so it stays stable in kitchens and bathrooms where plaster deteriorates.
Why Decovision
UK-based coving specialist. Premium XPS (extruded polystyrene) profiles — not bead-style EPS foam — with crisp detailing, matching corner pieces, and sample pieces available for every profile so you can see and feel the quality before you order.

The SL Series is modern coving for ceilings reduced to clean, straight lines — three minimalist LED profiles in XPS (extruded polystyrene), made in the UK by Decovision. If cherubs and scrollwork are not your thing, this is the series to start with. XPS (extruded polystyrene) is a rigid closed-cell foam: smooth enough to paint like plaster, light enough to fit single-handed.
Sharp lines, soft light
Each SL profile hides an LED channel behind its top edge. The result is a crisp shadow-gap look by day and a floating band of indirect light by night — the detail you see in high-end hotel rooms, achievable in a weekend. LED strip not included, so you control brightness and colour temperature.
One-person installation, zero ceiling load
Because XPS (extruded polystyrene) weighs a fraction of plaster, an entire room's coving can be carried under one arm and fitted by one person with adhesive alone. Older properties benefit most: no stress on tired ceilings, and no cracking as the house breathes through the seasons.
Models and sizes
Fitting
Solvent-free adhesive is essential, as solvent-based products dissolve polystyrene; paint must be water-based for the same reason. No drilling, no screws. A straightforward room takes an afternoon.
Where the SL look fits
Open-plan living spaces, new-build bedrooms, home offices and media rooms — anywhere a plain junction between wall and ceiling feels unfinished. Moisture resistance from the closed-cell structure makes kitchens and bathrooms safe choices as well.
Why Decovision
True XPS (extruded polystyrene) rather than bead foam, minimalist profiles you will not find in the sheds, UK manufacture, ready-made corners and a low-cost sample service. Try the sample first — it is the cheapest way to be certain.
The VLS Series is LED cornice coving with the broadest choice in our range: fifteen profile designs and pack sizes that run from a single 2 m length all the way to 50 metres for whole-floor projects. It is made in the UK by Decovision from XPS (extruded polystyrene) — a smooth, rigid, closed-cell foam that looks like plaster once painted but weighs around a tenth as much, so one person can fit it with adhesive alone.
Fifteen profiles, one hidden light line
From understated to ornate, VLS01 through VLS15 all share the same practical heart: a concealed channel that carries an LED strip behind the cornice line. Switched on, the ceiling glows with even, indirect light and the source stays invisible. LED strip is not included — pick the brightness and colour temperature that suit the room.
Why XPS beats plaster and bead foam
Plaster cornice is heavy, brittle and a two-person job; cheap bead-style polystyrene shows its bobbled texture through every coat of paint. XPS (extruded polystyrene) sits in neither camp: a fine, dense surface that paints cleanly, flexibility that absorbs building movement without cracking, and moisture resistance from its closed-cell structure that keeps it stable in kitchens and bathrooms.

Installation
Use solvent-free adhesive only and finish with water-based paint only — solvent-based products attack polystyrene. No screws, no drilling, no specialist tools beyond a fine-tooth saw. An average room takes two to four hours; the extended packs make hallways, landings and open-plan floors just as straightforward.
Room suggestions
Living rooms and bedrooms for the classic uplit cornice look; kitchens and bathrooms thanks to the moisture-resistant closed-cell material; hallways and landings where the long pack sizes come into their own.
Why Decovision
The widest LED cornice choice in the shop, genuine XPS (extruded polystyrene) quality, UK manufacturing, factory-made corners and packs sized for real projects. Order a VLS sample first — matching the profile to your ceiling costs pennies compared with getting it wrong.
The Z Series gives you the widest choice of designs in Decovision's LED coving range: eight profiles, each cut from XPS (extruded polystyrene) and each with a concealed channel for LED strip lighting. XPS (extruded polystyrene) is a dense, closed-cell foam with a glass-smooth face — nothing like the crumbly bead foam sold as budget coving — and it is light enough that a full 2 m length balances on one hand. Manufactured in the UK by Decovision.
Eight designs, one lighting trick
Z-41 through Z-48 range from quiet and linear to more sculpted profiles, so the series covers modern flats and period terraces alike. All eight share the same hidden LED channel: the strip tucks behind the top lip and throws light up across the ceiling, giving that soft architectural glow with no visible fittings. LED strip is not included — choose the tone you like.
The lightweight advantage
At 115 mm tall, these are substantial mouldings, yet in XPS (extruded polystyrene) they load the ceiling with almost nothing. One person fits them with adhesive alone — no props, no screws, no plasterer. The material also absorbs normal building movement, so the hairline cracks that plague plaster cornice simply do not appear.
Sizes and ordering
Installation
Bond with a solvent-free grab adhesive only; finish with water-based paint only — solvent chemistry attacks polystyrene. Cutting is easy with a fine-tooth saw. Expect two to four hours for an average room including corners and filling.
Room ideas
Use the deeper B size in living and dining rooms, and the A size in bedrooms, hallways and offices. Closed-cell XPS (extruded polystyrene) tolerates steam, so bathrooms and kitchens are fine too.
Why Decovision
Eight genuinely different designs, true XPS (extruded polystyrene) quality, ready-made corners, UK manufacture and a cheap sample to try first. Order the sample of the Z profile you like, hold it against your ceiling, then buy the room.

The DK Series is a square Palace ceiling rose — a pre-finished polystyrene medallion that turns the centre of a ceiling into the centrepiece of the room. Choose from three sizes (60 x 60, 90 x 90 or 150 x 150 cm) and five factory finishes: Gold, Gold Maroon, White Gold, Ancient and Patina.
Ready-finished, no painting
Every DK rose arrives with its decorative finish applied at the factory. There is nothing to paint, gild or seal — unwrap it and it is ready for the ceiling.
Dowel mounting, clean installation
The rose mounts on ready-made dowel points around its edge rather than adhesive, so installation is clean and the piece can be taken down and refitted elsewhere later — useful when you move house or redecorate.
Sizes and finishes
Why Decovision
Lightweight polystyrene construction that puts no strain on the ceiling, factory finishes that stay consistent piece to piece, and a Palace coving range to match. Pair the DK with our gold or patina Palace cornice for a complete scheme.
The DO Series is the classic circular form of the Palace ceiling rose: a pre-finished polystyrene medallion in diameters of 60, 90 or 150 cm. Finishes cover Gold, Gold Maroon, White Gold, Silver and Patina, all applied at the factory.
No paint, no gilding work
The decorative surface arrives complete. What you see in the photographs is what unwraps at your door — no specialist painting required.
Clean, reversible mounting
DO roses fix through ready-made dowel points at the rim rather than being glued, which keeps the ceiling clean and lets the rose come down and go back up in a future room or home.
Choosing a diameter
Why Decovision
Lightweight polystyrene that a ceiling barely notices, five consistent factory finishes, and matching Palace cornice mouldings in the same tones for a coordinated ceiling.
The DVN60 Series is a round Palace ceiling rose with a richly worked classical border and a patterned centre panel — a ready-made centrepiece for pendants and chandeliers. Three factory finishes are available: Gold Maroon with a deep damask centre, White Gold with antique white detailing over gold, and Silver with a soft paisley centre.
Ready-finished
Each rose arrives with its decorative finish applied in production — no painting, gilding or sealing on site. The centre is pre-cut for a light fitting.
